10 BENEFITS OF ADVERTISING ON LINKEDln

Many of the social media networks are similar; such as how there is a Facebook and Google+, or Instagram and Flickr, YouTube and Daily Motion. But occasionally you find one that is different to the rest such as Twitter and LinkedIn. The LinkedIn social media network is mainly for business persons and people who want to attract business persons and whole businesses for whatever reason. Here are ten benefits of advertising on the LinkedIn social media network.

1. You can find sellers for your products
Selling your items is a difficult task and it is not one that you have to take on alone. There are people out there who are happy to take a cut of the profit in order to sell your products. You can find these sorts of people on LinkedIn. You can find people who are already selling similar products and you can offer them a lucrative deal.
2. You can find people to outsource to
There are a lot of business functions that may be outsourced, and even though you can advertise for them and you can look on online directories you may also find them on LinkedIn. The good thing is that you can work up a professional relationship with these companies before you actually start dealing with them.
3. You can watch your competitors and your friends
You can see what your competitors are promoting this week and you can see any changes that have happened in their company. Most people on LinkedIn are happy to tell the world about any reengineering that has happened within their company and many are happy to announce it on LinkedIn. There are similar benefits when it comes to watching your friends too as they may have made changes that you can get in on.
4. Build up an industry network
It is not as difficult as it sounds and the contacts you make can be called upon the next time you need help in business or even a bit of free advice. You can search the LinkedIn groups to find the right type of people, and the more contacts you make then the higher the chances are that other people are going to want to be one of your contacts too.
5. Stay in touch via a professional channel
Sometimes it is simply not a good idea to have business clients on your personal social media network profiles because you do not want them seeing your newest holiday pictures. And, sometimes the things such as Google+ Page and Facebook fan page do not create enough of a personal connection with your clients. This is where you may use LinkedIn to keep in touch with your clients and business partners within a professional but friendly setting. Network as much as you like. Just so long as you are not over promotional and so long as you do not pester people then it is a good idea to build up a good professional network on LinkedIn, (it may come in handy later down the line).
6. Win business that you may not have otherwise found
LinkedIn is a place where other businesses congregate, and it is possible to get expose to and with companies that you would not otherwise come across during your normal line of business.
7. Offer referrals in return for referrals
There are a number of ways this works. You can use LinkedIn to have people refer others to you, and you can arrange deals so that you refer people to other companies. There are also times when you need a referral to a company such as if you are looking for a good hosting company. In any of these cases you can use LinkedIn.
8. It is possible to raise funding via LinkedIn
Raising funding and finding new investors is not an easy job (is it ever?), and LinkedIn is one place where you may find new investors and people who are interested in funding your next scheme. To reiterate, it is not easy finding funding via LinkedIn, but it is worth a shot if you are coming up short elsewhere.
9. You may find new customers
You can go for private customers in the business community and you can go for business-to-business sales too. Lots of people promote their business to other professionals via LinkedIn to the point where it is expected. Just make sure you are not over promotional or people will start to avoid you.
10. You can prove to potential customers that you are an expert
LinkedIn has been called a forum for professionals because it is loaded with people who are just itching to help out other people in order to prove their worth in business. You can take advantage of this from both ends. You can get advice and even references for other businesses and you can prove your worth by referring people to other companies and by showing your expertise online.
